Grant Woods, Director
Grant has spent over 35 years in the construction industry.
Originally a qualified joiner, Grant went on to work with a national company carrying out concrete formwork and every aspect of groundworks in every setting.
Ivor Smith, Director
Ivor has worked in construction, in particular groundworks, for 28 years.
He worked in civil engineering and earthworks with a major contractor for many years before bringing this expertise to the team at G+J.
Safety
Our number one priority is safety and looking after the well-being of our team and others on site and in the workplace. Because our team operate heavy machinery and work in often challenging conditions, we have a zero tolerance attitude to accidents and ensure that the highest standards of health and safety practice are adhered to at all times.
Training
We continually invest in training to make sure that our team have the skills to carry out their work to the highest possible standards and that our services are fully compliant with the law and current working practices. Our team all hold current CSCS cards and are CPCS card holders, all of which is overseen by the CITB.

This commitment is borne out by their sponsorship of Ancrum Football Club, Jedburgh Golf Club, The Border Games, Jed Thistle Junior Rugby Team. G+J also sponsor Jedburgh’s Maintenance and Enhancement Group, a local community group of volunteers who help to keep the town tidy.
